The magic in real estate is leverage. Leverage is a lot like using a jack to lift a car, it allows you to do things you would not normally be able to do. As you learn the leverage possible in real estate you may get so excited you'll wonder why everybody is not doing it.
If you had $10, 000 and bought stock with it, and got a return of 30%, you would get $3,000 back from your investment. If you had the same $10,000 and bought a $100,000 house and got a 30% return you would recieve $30,000, which is 300% return on your money.
Simply put, real estate is powerful. Banks will probably not lend you money to invest in the stock market or a business, but they will gladly lend you money to buy real estate. Sometimes banks will even lend you up to 100% of the value of the home.
